Maren TOFT

Maren Toft is an associate professor in sociology at the university of Oslo. She is currently heading the research project “Weaving the fabric of Elite Bonds (WEB)” where she studies the kinship ties of capitalists who own and control the large corporations in Norway. Her research interests lie in economic sociology, cultural sociology and the sociology of class inequalities.

Johs. HJELLBREKKE

Johs. Hjellbrekke is professor of sociology at the Department of Sociology, University of Bergen. His primary research interests are within the sociology of elites, social class, social mobility and sociological methodology, with a particular emphasis on geometric data analysis and multiple correspondence analysis. His secondary research interests are within the field of epistemology for the social sciences, sociological theory, historical sociology and research ethics in the social sciences.

Marte Lund SAGA

Marte Lund Saga is a doctoral research fellow at the Department for Sociology and Human Geography at the University of Oslo. Her dissertation revolves around questions of power and influence among Norwegian economic and political elites. Her academic interests include the sociology of elites, class and inequality, gender diversity among elites, power, and social networks.
