Ye Maoxin is Associate Professor and Vice Chair in the Department of Sociology at Southeast University, China. His research focuses on environmental sociology, disaster sociology and organizational sociology. He holds a PhD in Behavioral Science from Tohoku University, Japan, including study in their International Safety program, and was a visiting scholar at Northeastern University, USA. Ye has published in leading journals like Social Science & Medicine and Natural Hazards, and currently leads a National Social Science Foundation project on corporate carbon emissions.

His primary interests involve employing big data and computational methods in the area of sociology, communication and politics.
Fumiya UCHIKOSHI
Fumiya Uchikoshi is an Academy Scholar at the Harvard Academy for International and Area Studies, housed at the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs at Harvard University. He received his B.A. from the University of Tokyo and his M.A. and Ph.D. in Sociology from Princeton University with a graduate certificate in Demography. His ongoing projects include 1) causes and consequences of low fertility in East Asia, 2) gender inequality in higher education and the labor market, and 3) family formation among Asian Americans. His work has been published in Demography, Demographic Research, Research in Higher Education, and Research in Social Stratification and Mobility, among other outlets.
