William Echeverría Tigse is a doctoral researcher in Economics and Finance at the Centre for Business and Economics Research (CeBER), University of Coimbra (Portugal). His research examines how financialisation reshapes technological change and innovation, extending to the political economy of dollarisation as a regime of governance and to the structure and fragmentation of economic elites. He holds an MSc in Development Economics from FLACSO Ecuador, a BSc in Economics from Jean Monnet University (France), and an Engineering degree in Economics and Finance from the National Polytechnic School (Ecuador). Since 2024 he has taught as a visiting professor at Universidad UTE.
