Biography
Pedro Vasconcelos is an Associate Professor at the School of Sociology and Public Policy at Iscte – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa, Portugal. A lecturer and researcher at Iscte since 1996, he has carried out research on issues such as: categorisation processes, social representations and identities, family and social class, generations and values, family and youth, sexuality, social networks, kinship, social inequalities, gender and transgender issues. Currently his main interests are in social and sociological theory, social inequality and multidimensionality, gender, class and racialisation.
