Paola Jaimes is a development economist and Research Fellow at the Center for Economic and Policy Research (CEPR), and a Visiting Research Fellow at the Political Economy Research Institute (PERI), University of Massachusetts Amherst. Her research focuses on international finance, development, and the political economy of climate and extractive industries, with a particular emphasis on Latin America. She uses applied econometric methods and spatial analysis to study issues related to debt, capital flows, and conflict. Her current work examines sovereign debt dynamics and the global financial constraints facing developing countries.
