Biography

Jéssica Pereira is a PhD student in Sociology at ISCTE. She has a degree in Political Science and a master in International Development and Cooperation. She has worked as a Fellow and Research Assistant at the Center for Research and Studies in Sociology (CIES-ISCTE) focusing on the theme of grassroots associations in Portugal, namely in the projects “Sociological Study of the Popular Associative Movement of the Municipality of Loures”, “Exploratory characterization study on the role that culture, recreation and sports associations in the district of Leiria have in promoting active aging” and “The Role of Popular Associations in Active Aging”.
