Biography

Izaura Solipa is a Ph.D. candidate in economics at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. While her broad topic of interest is finance, she currently studies financial elites and their networks ties, with a particular focus on the cryptocurrency elite. Her more recent research intends to assess this emerging network characteristics and their relation to power. Her thesis further includes research on existing banking regulations and their potential implications for financial stability.
