Daniel Tinajero is a PhD candidate in Social Science with a specialization in Sociology at El Colegio de México. His research interests are socio-economic inequality and the relations between political and business elites in Mexico. In previous works, he has analyzed the biographical trajectories of high-level officials of the Mexican Ministry of Finance, as well as the relationships of members of the business elite established on boards of directors (interlocking directorates) using network analysis. Currently, he is studying how negotiations between the federal government and business organizations have led to a sustained increase in the minimum wage.
