Ana Paula Hey is an associate professor in sociology at University of São Paulo, Brazil. She works at the interface between the sociology of elites, power and culture. Her research interests centre on the relationship between elites and the state, and between the Brazilian power field and new symbolic markets (higher education, Think Tanks, private foundations, new philanthropy). She belongs to the Brazilian Society of Sociology and the Association Française de Sociologie.
